Can Bank

Oldham will be starting to save cans as a way to fund some projects around town. The can bank will be in the old jail. We plan to paint and spruce up the old jail as soon as the weather cooperates. Start saving those cans!

City Wide Clean-up

Oldham will be hosting a free City Wide Clean-Up on April 25th. This is intended to be for items that don’t get picked up on regular garbage pickup day. Volunteers will pick up items that are set by the curb. Volunteers are needed. Meet up by the watertower at 5:00 P.M. if you can help.

Pork Dinner

Sunday, April 6th Oldham Area Improvement Corporation is hosting a community dinner. We will be serving pork, baked potatoes, corn, bread, and a dessert. It is from 11:00-12:30 in the Oldham gym. Free-will donations will be accepted.

Busy Six Weeks…

I was informed I need to get to typing. So here it goes: It’s a busy 6 weeks coming up around Oldham. The seniors leave tomorrow afternoon to Wisconsin and a community dinner on Sunday. Next week, April 8th, to be exact, is ELECTION DAY in Oldham!!! Don’t forget to vote for mayor and your new citycouncilman/woman in your ward! There is also a blood drive that day…then on Friday is a Red Carpet Affair-this year’s prom. Grand March is at 6:30 open to the public. April 25th, the OR Band will be making their band trip down to Kansas City to perform. April 25th is also the day of Oldham’s city-wide cleanup! DONT FORGET TO SPRING CLEAN!! Then comes the lovely day of May 10, 2008, when the Senior Class of 2008 marches down the aisle and says farewell to high school! Ceremony begins at 2:00PM. All are welcome to celebrate with us! Now you know this month’s busy schedule for the big, bustling town of Oldham!
